Matt - Matt started drawing
when he was two years old. His father, a professional artist, built
for him a miniature drawing table that he put next to his own. For
years they sat next to each other, father and son, big artist and
little artist, drawing and painting. Matt would not have been able to
illustrate this book without the guidance of his father, the
inspiration of his mother and loving family, and his supportive
sweetheart, Taylor. |
Bill Sturgis V - Artist for The Dog Poop Initiative – Bill Sturgis has had a creative mind since birth, and has been known through out his life for his artistic gifts and talents. It wasn’t until after he got married in 2004 that he really began taking art seriously and signed on with the “All Things Art” studio in Springville
Utah. There he practiced with different art mediums like oils, water color, charcoal color pencil, and sculpting.
Many art disciplines seem to come easily to Bill and he is blessed to quickly master, sometimes in months, what other artists spend years working to achieve. When Bill put his hand to doing Patina work he found he had a special knack for making the colors come alive. Now he does patina at Baer Bronze where he has had the opportunity to bronze and patina his own work as well as work on the projects of world famous sculptors. Bill also illustrates books on the side and was delighted to help Kirk with his best smelling book, The Dog Poop Initiative.
For enjoyment Bill likes to capture the outdoors and animals on canvas, he has always loved the out doors and the animals in it., he takes his family up the mountains to go fishing and hiking as much as he can. Bill lives in Springville
Utah, with his wife Rachel and his son Liam and is expecting another child in the fall!!
